Mo' Creatures Wiki

The blog you see is not 100% complete. 75% out of 100% is done.

Further notes[]

  • It works on passive and ambient mobs only. It doesn't work with hostile mobs.
  • Some mobs, like crocodiles, are passive but do not have the name tag because the name tag was not added into their coding.
  • Others have name tags but could not be put into the pet amulet because their the same as passive non-tamable.
  • This is my only project I want to do so far. May do on other mods (maybe).

If most of you do not know what NBTEdit is. It's basically an editor that you can use to edit the properties of blocks and entities, including mobs.

How to get any tamed animals:[]

Pet amulet/etc method:[]

1. Spawn or find a tamabme .

2. Put it in the pet amulet/fishnet/etc.

3. Open NBTEdit using /nbtedit me.

4. Scroll down until there's a name called "Inventory".

5. The "(TagCompound)" are all named to this and you may find it hard so in order, to find which one, check what slots you put in.

6. If the pet amulet/etc is in slot two (for example), it should be the second (TagCompound).

7. Go to ROOT/Inventory/(TagCompound)/tag (slot two for example). Once you find it, click on the CreatureType.

8. Look up at right corner and you will see an "I" word similar to highlighting which is called Edit. Click it and edit it.

9. CreatureType 1 (for example) changed to (look above which animals you want) (THEY MUST BE IN THE SAME SPAWN EGG)   10. Let's change Jellyfish number 5 to 7 (Yellow speckled and Blue Jellyfish) (example)

11. Save and spawn your edited pet (Sometimes they give you a backup actually which means that you get to keep ones back and the edited ones)

12 (BONUS!): If you wanna change (what tamed animal) to any animal like jellyfish, change the "SpawnClass". If you look up the last second picture. You edit it to (what animal) to jellyfish/etc (if you don't put in the capital letter on the first letter, you will not able to spawn it because the class file does not exist).

Without pet amulet method:[]

1. Make sure your crosshair (you know that one where you destroy blocks and place things) is aimed at the mob(s).

2. Type "/nbtedit" (You have to hurry or else they leave the area(build the area to prevent from moving is the best way).

3. Look into "ForgeData" and find "TypeInt".

4. Click edit button and change it.

5. Save it and the animal is changed.

Making untamable animals to tamable animals (Does not work on hostile mobs):[]

With name tag method (cannot put in pet amulet) (some animals do not have the name tag added (Mo' Creatures version)):[]

1. Spawn any ambient/passive mob.

2. Type /nbtedit (quickly because they will move away from the area).

3. Scroll down until you find "ForgeData" (may not always appear with all mobs).

4. Find Name and Owner code.

5. Click edit and type any name you want to name your pet and type your username in the owners code.

6. Save and it should appears but you cannot put in the pet amulet because there's is not code for them to put them in.

With pet amulet (name tag won't appear):[]

1. Get any tamed mob.

2. Type /nbtedit me.

3. Go to ROOT/Inventory/(TagCompound)/Tag (what slot you put the amulet in).

4. Edit Spawnclass to e.g big cats/etc to deers/etc.

5. Then change what creatures type.

6. Save and Spawn, it should work(some don't).
